Grounded in the Gospel call to protect the vulnerable, uphold human dignity, and speak truth in love, we provide safe shelter, advocacy, and trauma-informed support to those seeking freedom from abuse. We affirm that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, worthy of safety, dignity, and peace—and that abuse, in all its forms, is a grave injustice that contradicts God’s design for love, marriage, and family life.

Guided by Catholic social teaching, we recognize that survival often requires courage, discernment, and accompaniment. We walk alongside women and children without judgment, coercion, or spiritual pressure, offering refuge that honors both body and soul. Our mission is not to force reconciliation or endurance of harm, but to support healing, restoration, and the rebuilding of lives rooted in truth and freedom.

Through prayerful presence, practical assistance, and community advocacy, Ginger Root Refuge seeks to be a living witness of Christ’s mercy—where safety is sacred, truth is honored, and hope is restored.
